Diaspora Savings Account

This is an account that helps diaspora customers set aside funds for their goals while earning interest. This account is available to junior savers for parents who plan to set aside money for their children.

  • Permits only one free withdrawal per calendar quarter.

INDIVIDUALS

  • Must be a Kenyan living abroad
  • Duly completed account opening form
  • Certified/Notarized copy of applicant valid Kenyan ID card or Kenyan Passport
  • Certified/Notarized copy of applicant KRA PIN Certificate
  • Certified/Notarized proof of residence (copy of current utility bill or online statement, Diaspora DL, Diaspora Passport document)
  • Certified /Notarized 1 Colored passport photo of the applicant
  • Duly signed FATCA form for USA citizens/residents (FORM W-9 for individual customers and FORM W-8BEN for corporates)

COMPANIES

  • Duly completed account opening form
  • Certified copies of certificate of registration/Incorporation, articles and memorandum of association (or CR1 &CR2), CR12
  • Certified Copy of latest company annual returns
  • Certified Copy of the business PIN Certificate
  • Board resolution on company letter head appointing bankers and relevant signing mandate
  • Certified Copies of National ID / valid passport for all directors authorized to run the account
  • KRA PIN certificate for each director
  • One passport size photo for each director
  • Certified/Notarized proof of residence address (copy of current utility bill or online statement)
  • Duly signed FATCA form for USA citizens/residents(FORM W-9 for individual customers and FORM W-8BEN for corporates)
